Peter Lik photography

Peter Lik is a world renowned photographer who has over 9 galleries across the globe. I recently took a trip to Las Vegas, where he has 3 gallery locations. What is so striking about his work, besides his obvious talent, is the way that the images are presented. What may be hard to tell from the shots above are that many of his large panoramic images are printed on trans material and then traditionally matted and framed. The gallery has subdued lighting and the images glow bringing all the color and detail to life. You can't help but be drawn in to look at them. It was refreshing to see an artist use trans printing for their work and present them as finished framed pieces, so that you could imagine them fitting it to any decor or setting. It takes the art to another level. If you are ever in one of the cities where he has one of his many galleries you should make time to see it for yourself.

As a completely self-taught artist, master photographer Peter Lik started in Australia and soon expanded his vision worldwide. Huge panoramic photographs of landscapes showcase the brilliant colors and elegant, spiritual terrain in Nature. These images speak for themselves and leave the casual viewer breathless. The truly conscientious observer will experience fine art. When you come to Peter Lik Galleries, you will be able to experience a kind of natural lifestyle, accented with exotic high-end furniture and sculptures.

Hi F
I am Peters sister (Dianne) I live in Melbourne Australia.
Pete has been passionate about his work since he was 8 or 9 years old. I lived with him in Cairns when he was trying to become a
photographer and establish his name. He was really scraping a living, his old bomb of a car didn't have reverse and we had to push it out of the driveway!

. Pete has insecurities about himself as we all do, but what I admire most about him is
his deep conviction and focus on doing what he loves and doing it well and successfully.
He struggled a lot and many people told him he would never make it in such a tough business
(including family) but he didn't listen. Pete never doubted his talent his drive and passion and they
have got him where he is today. I love and deeply respect him for that and am proud to call him my brother.

Warmly
Dianne Harris (nee Lik)

Hi Dianne,
What a beautiful thing to read. I have just seen some examples of Peters work in Las Vegas and so disappointed I did not find out more about the costs as I really want to buy one. Do you know where I can find out more about costs for his work?

Thanks Charlie

Hi Charlie,
As I live in Oz I don't have access to Petes USA info
the best way is to contact the galleries
through website www.peterlik.com

Dear Mrs Harris,
I visited the gallery in caesars in Las Vegas last year. Really stumbled into it by accident only to find myself in the most amazing and inspiring place I've ever been on the planet besides the earths natural beauty. I literally got goose bumps. Im a self taught photographer as well and still have a very long road ahead. I rave to people in conversations about Peters work. I literally sold everything I own in this world except for my clothes, car and photography equipment. My car is in such bad shape it too will be next to go. I moved to Baltimore MD. US and put all the money I had to start a studio and gallery. I also found a fulltime job finally. It sounds pathetic but Ive limited myself to eating twice a day at most to conserve money to keep my dream alive. Life is the hardest I could ever imagine but my passion for photography is so great I believe my sacrifices are worth it. I actually sleep on the floor of my gallery when its closed and shower at the business next door. The things we do for where our heart takes us. Although a complete stranger to me, he has been a tremendous positive influence. Perhaps you'll mention that next time you two speak. Im sure he gets alot of that. Thank you for the oppertunity to reach out. Have a great day.

Buyers please beware!!!
I have have dealings, purchases in 2 of the Peter Lik galleries, the one at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas and also the gallery in Waikiki in Hawaii.
They are very high pressure sales people.
It seems once the have your initial deposit and your final payment, customer service is no longer in existence.
I have bought 2 of Mr.Lik's pieces and I am glad I did make the purchases.
I have had a couple of issues though and find it very very difficult to get any help.
In two situations, the galleries have both lied and were in denial about a transaction that we had both mutually agreed on.
Both galleries and the corporate office in Las Vegas have been both rude and very very difficult to deal with.
It is unfortunate as I believe Peter Lik is a up and coming wonderful photographer.
It is unfortunate that the integrity of the staff chosen at both the sales level and the corporate level is very questionable.

Thankyou.

A note to all from Mighty Imaging.

After the comment posted by Dynamic, we thought it would be good to reiterate that we are not directly affiliated in any way with Peter Lik or his gallery. Although we are saddened to hear that Dynamic had a bad experience, this post is not to promote or sell Peter's images. We are simply commenting on his printing style and offering similar printing services at our lab.

Thanks to all who stop by and read our blog!
